The Officers and Board of DC LERA invite you to join us to answer the question...

Can Better Labor Management Relations Make
The Federal Government More Efficient
And Improve Agency Performance?

February Luncheon
Noon – Wednesday, February 23, 2011
Executive Conference Room
Laborers’ International Union of North America

Guest Speaker

Robert Tobias, Director
Institute for the Study of Public Policy Implementation
American University

This is a question that will be answered at the February 23, 2011 LERA luncheon. Robert Tobias of American University will be speaking on the success and measurement of labor management relations in the federal sector. Mr. Tobias will be responding to President Obama’s new Executive Order 13522, that recognizes the link between labor management relations and agency performance. President Obama ordered the establishment of a “cooperative and productive form of labor–management relations throughout the executive branch” in order “to deliver the highest quality services to the American People”. Join us in this very timely and critical assessment of how that relationship is unfolding and how it is being measured for the determination of its success.

About the speaker:
