Institute, will speak to DC LERA about the Great Recession.
He will talk about how we got into this mess and what we
need to do to get out of it while protecting the
economically powerless among us.

Dr. Larry Mishel
President, Economic Policy Institute
Dr. Mishel came to the Economic Policy Institute in 1987. As
EPI’s first research director, then as vice president, and
now president, he has played a significant role in building
EPI’s research capabilities and reputation. He has
researched, written and spoken widely on the economy and
economic policy as it affects middle and low income
families. He is principal author of a major research
volume, The State of Working America, which provides
a comprehensive bi-annual overview of the U.S. labor market
and living standards.
